There needs to be a place where all the Brisbane Web Design Studios are listed in the one spot with reviews, star ratings, links to work they’ve done with what CMS, and what price they charged. Maybe Wotif can enter the market and have a website that lets you book in last minute web design jobs for discounted rates
While I am on the subject of CMS’s,,, Drupal is nothing without Views and CCK.

I really like google calendar, the share options are great. One of those options is embed code for your site which works really well, except that because it’s in an iframe, you cannot style it with your own sites styles… or that’s what I thought, until I found out about MyGoogleCal4 from Linden LAN. Nice Work.

I stumbled across a nice little site today called Paintbits. It has a few tutorials and a bit of a showcase with some nice icons and wallpapers, definitely worth a look.

This is a plug for a charity my wife and I started in 2005. Street Swags makes swags for homeless people across Australia. They arrange for prisoners to sew the swags and school kids to roll them up and then they get distributed through various charities around the country like the Salvation Army, St Vinnies, and Mission Australia to name just a few.
They have distributed over 10,000 swags so far, and have a neat google map on their site that shows where they all went.
You can show your support by embedding this badge into your site. (code below)

For all those in the media industry, and for those who just have an interest, ThinkTV have released an Australian TV Ratings Widget.
It’s only updated weekly, which is a shame, Widgets by their very nature are all about up-to-the minute kind of data.
Anyway, still great, go to thinktv.com.au to download.
(funny they didn’t release a Vista Sidebar Gadget)

What happened!!!! New guy at work (Jim), installed it and had all these crazy things happening, especially when trying to export. I thought it might have been an anomaly, I had no problems at all, and running very similar system and release #. Anyway after having Fireworks open for about 3 days straight, I have come across a few of these little bugs in the system myself.
I have used Adobe Fireworks since it was first released, love the vector handling, and had no problems like this on a windows XP machine, EVER. Is this just a Mac thing? DANG!

Well loads of changes around here lately, thought it was time I cleaned up a few things and got things in a little bit of order.
I am giving Mars Edit 2 a go, its a desktop publishing system for the mac. First impressions are pretty good, interface is nice and simple. Have 30 day trial, so will see how it goes.
Still a few things to tidy up in the site but it’s a work in progress, will get there eventually.
